As we all try to accept the new normal of social distancing I feel it is important to look at some of the opportunities to enjoy both music and nature at this time. Spring is here and it is beautiful and with nothing better to do, then why not do what this weather calls for? If you were raised in an area with back roads and bonfires then this spring weather means the start of windows down and country music up.

Now I am aware that country music is a controversial music genre, you either love it or hate it, but today I want to tell you all some of the best ways to fully embrace the country music experience and give it a chance.

Country music is best experienced when it is a nice sunny day, driving down back roads with the windows down and sunglasses on. You have your music turned up more than usual and you just let it wash over you. Maybe you’re on your way to a bonfire, about to sit in the bed of the truck or just a liftable trunk, you are about to drink some beer or Truly’s and just enjoy the night sky with your friends and music.

It may sound cliche to you, maybe you don’t understand why these things make the music better. These experiences just make the music hit your soul a little different, putting yourself in the situations that births that kind of difference.

And trust me, the way the music makes the night sky beauty amplify as you hear the sounds of nature mix with the music.

Still not convinced? Give it a try, here are 20 of my favorite country songs to experiment with. I tried to give some diversity with the songs for all sides to be explored.

1) Make Me Want To - Jimmie Allen

2) Learned It From The Radio - Thomas Rhett

3) Dirt Road Anthem - Jason Aldean

4) Play It Again - Luke Bryan

5) Springsteen - Eric Church

6) Beer Never Broke My Heart - Luke Combs

7) Tequila - Dan + Shay

8) Drunk On a Plane - Dierks Bentley

9) Wagon Wheel - Darius Rucker

10) Tennesse Whiskey - Chris Stapleton

11) Barefoot Blue Jean Night - Jake Owen

12) Cruise - Florida Georgia Line

13) Heaven - Kane Brown

14) Stuck Like Glue - Sugarland

15) Girl Crush - Little Big Town

16) Make Me Wanna - Thomas Rhett

17) Merry Go 'Round - Kacey Musgraves

18) I Could Use A Love Song - Maren Morris

19) Girl in a Country Song - Maddie & Tae

20) Greatest Love Story - LANCO

You give them a listen? What do you think?

This post truly caught my eye for whatever reason! I say that because sadly, I am not a country fan, I guess you can say I am one of those people who actually hate it. However, seeing my friends and family that listen and love it makes me happy, so therefore, I guess I don't truly despise it after all. I think it is important for people to know their taste in music but also have a variety, which I am hoping to expand on. So, with help from you, I will be taking my Saturday afternoon from behind this computer to outside with my family, listening to this playlist, and sippin' on some cold ones! Thanks Kaitlyn!

I am not a country music fan but I also don't hate it. I listened to some of the songs you listed and my top two were Play It Again by Luke Bryan and Cruise by Florida Georgia Line. Cruise was my favorite because it makes me feel happy, makes me want to dance, and it makes me feel like its summer. My dad is a country music fan so I will show him this song. Thank you for sharing!
