It's Valentine's Day and for those all curled up with their boo then this a day is full of love and happiness. But let's be real, Valentine's Day is kind of shitty and I know for many when this day rolls around all you can think is "f*ck love."
Trust me have I been there. This Valentine's Day I decided to cater to all the hearts out there with a playlist for both situations.
So whether you're out with your significant other or you're out with your friends trying not to think of what day it is, here is a playlist for you. (Skip to after song 14 in list one if you don't want to experience the love playlist).
For Those Who Love Love
1.) Fallin' All In You - Shawn Mendez
A song about falling in love so unexpectedly that many can relate with because falling in love is so unexpected and beautiful sometimes you just need to let it happen and embrace it.
2.) Fine by Me - Andy Grammar
All love songs don't need to be a slow ballad and this song shows a fun way to let someone know how much you want to keep them in their life.
3.) One and Only - Adele
Let's be real, how can this song not be on the list? This is one that will be a classic Valentine's Day song, no doubt.
4.) Lover - Taylor Swift
This song was actually recommended to me because I don't listen to much Taylor Swift but this has found it's way to the list because it relates to couples in a real way. The queen of break-up songs can find love after all.
5.) 10,000 Hours - Dan + Shay ft. Justin Bieber
A song for their wives, a video with their wives in it, a song I'd dance to on my wedding day, do I need to say anything else?
6.) Like I'm Gonna Lose You - Megan Trainer ft. John Legend
Ever love someone that you are scared that it may not last? That you never know what day would be your last with them because it is just so perfect? This song is for you then.
7.) Remembering Sunday - All Time Low ft. Juliet Simms
This one is a love song but also a sad song. It honestly made this list for a more personal reason for it being the song that made my boyfriend realize he was in love with me, but enjoy it.
8.) I Love You Forever - Logic
Who doesn't love an album about falling in love with a girl that is also based off a book? I mean, come on
9.) I Can't Help Falling in Love - Elvis
I mean, it's a classic how could it not make the list?
10.) One Love - Mariana's Trench
This song is definitely on the sadder side but it sure can put you in your feels and make you appreciate who you have in your life.
11.) Love Someone - Lukas Graham
This song melts my heart every time I hear it because it can stand for so much more than a couple but for family and friends. But it is definitely a song couples should listen to on this year's Valentine's Day.
12.) Drops of Jupiter - Train
Although the reason behind this song is not actually romantic many actually see this song as a love song thus bringing it to our list today.
13.) In Case You Didn't Know - Brett Young
Country music has some of the most romantic storylines and words, hence why this song made the list. Everyone always has words that they want to say but have a hard time saying and this song says it for you.
14.) Die A Happy Man - Thomas Rhett
I could make a whole post dedicated to the romance of Thomas Rhett songs but for the sake of this list, I had to put just one. (But if you haven't listened to Marry Me by him, you HAVE to, you will not regret it).
Now that all the mushy gushy songs are over, here are 14 songs for people who want to say F love this Valentine's day.
For Those Who Wanna Say, F*ck Love:
1.) No Scrubs - TLC
We all know a reason people are single on Valentine's Day is that they aren't going to be settling for ANY sort of scrub.
2.) Fuqboi - Hey Violet
Now this song may pertain more to the lady readers of this blog, but we all know someone that she's talking about.
3.) Deuces - Chris Brown
Most of us have had to cut out that toxic person and say goodbye after being hurt and if so this song maybe your anthem today.
4.) Better Off This Way - A Day To Remember
"It's all over, I've found a better way to help keep you from me I'm better off this way"... I think this explains itself.
5.) The Best Damn Thing - Avril Lavigne
If you lived during the prime of Avril then this song was the GO TO when you wanted to tell someone how great you are and they need to step it up or leave because you deserve better. Know your worth!
6.) Gives You Hell - All American Rejects
Ever just wanna get together with your friends and say "f*ck my ex?" Yeah, so did All American Rejects.
7.) Problem - Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea
Basically the same as above but this time it's Ari.
8.) New Rules - Dua Lipa
Sometimes it is easy to fall back into a comfortable pattern, especially on the day of love, but listen to Dua. Girl's rules are pretty good.
9.) Bacon - Nick Jonas ft. Ty Dolla $ign
Full confession, I found this song while researching for this post and I am mad I didn't know this song when I went through my last break up because it hits.
10.) Irreplaceable - Beyoncé
How can you have a f*ck love list without this iconic list? The Queen of not letting a man walk all over her.
11.) Don't - Ed Sheeran
"Don't fuck with my love" what more is there to say?
12.) Picture to Burn - Taylor Swift
Obviously Taylor was going to make this list somehow and honestly choosing one was difficult. I have a soft spot in my heart for old school Taylor and honestly, who hasn't thought about burning some of their ex's pictures?
13.) When It Rains It Pours - Luke Combs
Honestly, not all breakups are that bad. Sometimes they are the blessing we all need.
14.) Too Little Too Late - Jojo
A little more on the "feels" side but I think we all need a little bit of this.
Any suggestions to make this list better? What songs would you put on your playlists?
I love this entire blog, and especially this post. I think the majority of people reading this have been in situations where they love happy love songs, and then there are times where everyone needs to listen to the songs where the thought f*ck love. I know I have. I'm always looking for new music, especially songs like these. We have a very familiar music taste so this was awesome to read! I'll be sure to add some of these songs into my playlist and read more of your blog posts!

This is great! I myself am a romance cynic, so I especially took to the "F*ck Love" playlist. I discovered some new songs that I have never heard before so thank you for that! I am not one to indulge in the "Top 40 Hits" so I've never really given Dua Lipa a listen. Let me tell you... I can not get that "New Rules" song out of my head. I am also a big JoJo fan-- I remember blasting her debut album on my Sony CD player when it came out! If you're looking for an addition to this "F*ck Love" playlist, I highly recommend Mariah Carey's "Shake It Off" from The Emancipation of Mimi album.
*This is Jon…
I love this post! While I was familiar with a lot of the songs you mentioned, I did discover new songs to add to my personal playlists. Also, I'm a big fan of Nick Jonas' earlier solo work, so Bacon was my jam when it came out. That being said, I never thought of it as a breakup song, so your post brought the song into a whole new light for me.
