Since the release of their first studio album "So Wrong, It's Right" back in 2007, alternative rock band All Time Low has been on my radar. This band has brought amazing tracks after amazing tracks, and from what I witnessed on their "Future Hearts" tour, they know how to put on what hell of a concert.

After the release of their 2015 "Future Hearts" album though, All Time Low parted with the record label Hopeless Records and signed with Fueled By Ramen, a label that is home to bands such as Fall Out Boy, Twenty One Pilots, and Panic! At The Disco.

I was excited but curious as to what would happen with such a transition and in 2018 they showed the world their new sound with "Last Young Renegade." This album in 100% honesty was not my favorite, it wasn't bad, there were some songs that I loved, but I just didn't find myself going back to it like I have with previous albums of theirs. I understood it though, new label, new sound, growing up and telling their story, I got the idea and appreciated it. Yet, part of me really felt like some of their sound that made them so unique was lacking or in some songs altogether not there.

But now it is 2020, they just finished touring their celebratory 10 year anniversary of "Nothing Personal" after a little break, and the single they dropped was FIRE.

"Some Kind of Disaster" felt like everything was now right with the world. It brought me back to a bit of their "So Wrong, It's Right" maybe a little "Future Hearts" feel with a bit of something new, something needed. Let's be real, they cant go to wrong with Alex as their vocalist but when you mix in the musical talent of just everyone in the band, (especially the bass that comes in during this song), and add meaningful lyrics that resonates to so many, and they got a hit. The song and video dropped this week (1/20/2020) and I have already listened to it so many times I know it backwards and forwards. It feels real and inviting but even has a little pop feel in there but not too much which I enjoyed. It seems like their break was really what the band needed to find themselves, this sound, and to just craft together some music that feels right to them that they are proud to share with us.

If this is what they are bringing in 2020 then I predict this is going to be a very good year for All Time Low and my ears.

You really put a lot of thought and interest into your post and it shows. Im personally really interested in music as well and I love finding different types of music to listen to so I feel like I will enjoy your blog a lot. Fall out boy and twenty one pilots are some of my favorite bands so its interesting to know what label they came from and hear about All time low's new album after they had some great hits in the past. I personally didn't know about them until I read this and now I'm interested! Great work!
